A different type of game. Based on breed abilities/adaptations, characteristics, and history (bonus points for obscurity)
I nominate the Catahoula Leopard Dog. But I am biased (that's my little girl, Daisy) First bred in Louisiana, and with a lineage as murky as the bayou waters they came from, these dogs have developed the ability to climb trees, webbed feet, and a deep chest cavity for bigger lungs/hearts for increased stamina, they were favorites of noted badasses Teddy Roosevelt and Daniel Boone. They're also one of the smartest breeds in the world. They're like if the local motors rally fighter and nissan gtr had a baby, and that baby was a dog.

My avatar is Daisy!
My family used to have a dog, we found him a new place cause no one had the time for him. He is a chocolate lab. My parents had a family party and I picked up the food from the catering place (in a Subaru Forester). The next morning, I opened the garage, the car's windows, sunroof, rear door to air out the smell. My sister let the dog out to pee. He didn't come back so I went looking for him outside. I couldn't find the dog anywhere. I went to the garage and whaddya know, he's sitting on the passenger seat, looking at me, waiting for a ride.

i'll just go ahead and nominate my dog with a question.
i'm about to build my dog either a trailer or sidecar to hook to my bicycle. trailer would take up less lane, maybe count as more aero efficient, but sidecar would be cooler, plus i can keep an eye on him (he's a bit wild). which would be more 'responsible'? i ride backroads, so traffic isn't really too much of a concern. sidecar or trailer?

Our dog. She is a beagle/mix(not sure a mix of what though). She loves running, constantly. Runs through dirt, mud, water, snow, around the house. Anywhere and everywhere. Plus she is a great dog. Smart, learns quickly, but still is not all stuffy like our damn cat (also pictured below).
And when she takes off out of her kennel, she drifts and does burn outs on the wood floors in our house. It is hilarious to watch.
FUG IT! I was going to upload some pics, but Kinja is being a bitch.

The unofficial dog of Oppo has long been the Corgi.

I vote for my two mutts. I can't leave the car door open without them jumping in. Mutts FTW.

I had a chocolate lab from when I was in kindergarten until last summer when he passed. MacDuff. I miss him so much. He was awesome.

We're all going to say "mine."
Mine loves rides, she had a nasty habit of jumping in the neighbors car thinking she was going for a ride there too. I've learned she prefers the truck to the car...she can see out the windows and she's a little too big to get really comfortable in the car.

How hyper is your Catahoula? I was looking at getting one (it being a Louisiana dog I figured it was the right thing to do) but decided against it because I heard they need an ass ton of exercise and I was in college and lazy.

She's fairly mellow for a catahoula but I run her for like an hour straight a day. We have a big backyard so i'll play tag with her and she absolutely loves it.

Cute. Now that we have a big backyard we might get a more hyper dog, but my wife and I aren't what you would call the "running" type haha.

The other thing about 'houlas is that you have to really socialize them from when they're a puppy, and make sure to establish your dominance at an early age; there VERY protective and loyal to their family, and they have a real pack mentality. Also, if you have a cat, they probably will chase 'em around. But it's not a mean chase, it's more "You're my new best friend!!!!! PLAY WITH ME!!!!"

Haha good to know. If we get anything it would have to be a puppy because my current dog (German Shepherd) doesn't like other dogs her size. We are pretty sure she had to fight other dogs when she was a stray based on her behavior and her scars. So we figure we will have to start with a puppy so she gets used to it growing up.

Daisy is a real runt at only 45 (!) pounds and pretty much full grown. It's real funny because we have a 11 pound toy poodle that she is super submissive to.
